Welcome to my blog! Here I am (above), in the shelter in Florida, before I was rescued by the Blind Dog Rescue Alliance. And I was sick! No one had taken care of me for a long, long time. I had to be separated from all the other dogs because I did not feel well. But, with medicine and time, I got better, and then traveled to Virginia to my foster home. I am so happy here! My foster parents take such good care of me. I get good food, a soft bed, and lots of love.
But I have spent a lot of time in a hood, as you can see above. First I had my right eye out and today I had my left eye out! I wore the hood for two weeks after the right eye was taken out, and now I have to wear it for two more weeks until the wound where my left eye was heals! But I am a good sport about the hood. And I am so, so glad my eyes are gone! They were not healthy, and they hurt me, and I had to have a lot of drops.
I just hope that someone out there will want to adopt me. I hope that someone out there will realize that I am still a great little dog even though I don't have any eyes! In fact, I am better than ever now that my unhealthy eyes are gone!
This picture of me above shows me and one of the five dogs who live at my foster home. It is Marina, and she is 15 years old, and she is a blind dog too! I don't mind sharing a bed with Marina or any of the dogs who live here! I get along just fine with dogs - and cats too!
Thanks for reading my blog, and visit again soon, as I will be writing more!
And think about adopting me! Please!
